Orphanage home
We are contributing our
resources for the orphanage home situated in pokhara and chitwan of Nepal since
nine month. Also we are planning to open our own orphanage home for the street
kids, handicapped and the orphan child up to next year. But right now we are
coordinate with orphanage home which has no support yet. We spent more than
half of the money coming from our volunteer to this orphanage home. And rest of
the money is gone for our other projects. We want positive supports from our
volunteers on these steps.
Volunteer on an art and craft
project
Volunteer on an art and craft
project in Nepal and give children the chance to learn new creative forms of
art by bringing new techniques to the classroom. Art has always been an important
part of south Asian countries, both as a decorative and a communicative medium.
This project is an ideal opportunity to make art available to young Nepalese
during a school time, a gap year or volunteer holiday. Furthermore, you will have the chance to work
alongside some of Nepalese leading artists, sharing ideas and styles from the Nepalese
traditions. During part of the project, you will help to run school art clubs
within a number of local schools. The clubs extend right across the artistic
spectrum, from painting to sculpture, so you will be able to focus on one or number
of different areas. Aside from learning artistic techniques and
self-expression, the children you work with will greatly value the attention
and help you offer, and life-long friendships are sure to be made.
It is up to you to decide your level of involvement with each
part of the project. However, there is a vast pool of artistic knowledge that
you can take advantage of so we invite you to delve as deeply as possible.
There is no obligation to keep up with your associated artists, but we are sure
that you will want to take full advantage of the artistic ideas and skills they
are willing to share.
During your role at the arts
club, you will be able to create a programme with your class by developing a
syllabus and setting achievement targets. This will, of course, demand more
consistent commitment. The ultimate goal for students will be to display some
of their work in a special exhibition, which you will help organize. This will
be crucial in the development of their self-confidence and in setting firm
foundations for a possible professional career in art.
